About Jones Harley Toole

After 50 years within the Australian legal market, we understand what is required to achieve best outcomes for our clients. Jones Harley Toole are legal experts with the experience to understand our client’s local and national business needs.

Our leading lawyers specialise in Insurance, Strata & Community Corporations, Commercial Litigation, Employment & Workplace Advisory, and Liquor Licensing.

We are renowned for identifying and implementing successful strategies for effective solutions and for our engaging and inclusive approach.

Our firm and our team have been recognised over many years as leaders in our fields through the Doyle’s Guide. We are actively involved in the legal industry through committee representation and provide highly sought after training and speaking presentations to our clients and our respective client industries.

We commenced as Ward & Partners in the late 1960’s, quickly establishing a reputation for excellence and expertise in service and skill. Our firm soon became an iconic part of the Australian legal landscape.

In 2002 Ward & Partners merged with the national firm of Hunt & Hunt, continuing our journey as a pre-eminent legal service provider.

In 2015 our senior partner, John Hartley Toole, died unexpectedly. John had been with the firm from the very early days. A valued mentor and colleague, he was renowned for his extraordinary skill, integrity and commitment to achieving the best outcome for the client.

We came to the decision that we wanted to do things differently, to embrace John’s ethos and provide an even better service to present and future clients.
And so from 1st July 2016, the firm Jones Harley Toole commenced.

We have been involved in some of Australia’s leading legal decisions and precedents and supported many of Australia’s foremost businesses and organisations.

Our firm is proud to see many of our past legal practitioners be appointed as members of the judiciary, Senior or Queen’s Counsel and leading business and industry representatives.

And we continue to embrace the heritage of our past whilst eagerly adopting the innovations of our future.
